Recharge Metals (REC) has completed two diamond holes for almost 844 metres at the Brandy Hill South project in Western Australia.
BHRCD027 and BHRCD028 are the first that the company has collared west of the Salt Creek shear zone and were designed to test the modelled downhole transient electromagnetic (DHTEM) conductor in BHD026-3.
The company said both holes intersected a mafic-ultramafic complex including “extensive zones” of massive and semi-massive to disseminated sulphides which reportedly coincide with the location of BHD026-3.
Managing Director Brett Wallace was pleased with the successful interception of the modelled DHTEM conductor.
“Significantly, both holes were collared in untested ground west of the Salt Creek Shear – a great result for Recharge,” he said.
The company is now completing the remaining three holes of the five-hole diamond program which are testing other modelled conductors.
Recharge is also waiting on assays from the eight pre-collar holes which targeted shallow nickel mineralisation.
REC shares were up 38.7 per cent on the back of this news to trade at 21.5 cents at 1:34 pm AEDT.
