Red River Resources (ASX:RVR) hits 2.3pc zinc equivalent at Cougartown

Red River Resources (RVR) has posted results of up to 86 metres at 2.3 per cent zinc equivalent from surface at its Cougartown prospect which is part of the company’s Liontown project in Queensland.

The company has previously completed 5697 metres of drilling at Liontown and a further 1928 metres of drilling across the Cougartwon, Cougartown West and Max-Au sites.

RVR is developing Liontown as the third deposit to be mined at its Thalanga Operations with additional drilling planned which aims to increase mill feed to Thalanga.

The company said the Liontown drill program continues to focus on mineral resource delineation and extension and has a current mineral resource consisting of 4.1 million tonnes at 0.6 per cent copper, 1.9 per cent lead, 5.9 per cent zinc, 1.1 g/t gold and 29 g/t silver (12.7 per cent zinc equivalent).

Additionally, the company said following the results from Cougartwon and similar surrounding shallow drill programs, targeting will now focus on the potential for a change and upgrading of the mineralising system at depth. Assessment and prioritising of
deeper drilling is also underway.

Shares were up 7.5 per cent trading at 21.5 cents at 12.37 pm AEDT.
