Redbank Copper (RCP) has found a large late-time conductor at its Redbank Project, located on the Queensland and Northern Territory border.

The target was found by a large helicopter-borne electromagnetic survey and forms part of a suite of very large and coherent conductors.

A drilling program has been approved and will be accelerated to test this large-scale conductor, which may host copper mineralisation.

Drilling will include 5000 metres of reverse circulation, testing several targets.

Notably, these conductors are around five kilometres north east of exisiting copper deposits at Redbank.

Redbank Executive Director Michael Hannington is pleased to have identified the late-time conductors as work continues at the project.

“Our technical team has completed a detailed review of the data generated from the VTEM survey to date and these anomalies stand out in a resistive background, making them priorities for drill testing in the near-term,” he said.

“Redbank’s current exploration model is seeking a reductant-related conductor capable of hosting stratiform copper mineralisation. These are precisely the type of conductors within the Wollogorang Formation that we were hoping to locate with the VTEM survey.”

At the market close, Redbank was up 1.49 per cent and trading at 6.8 cents per share.
