Renascor Resources (RNU) has identified shallow, untested gold targets along strike from its Soyuz prospect in the Central Gawler Craton of South Australia.

Previous drilling at Soyuz has intersected shallow, high-grade gold with results including seven metres at 5.14g/t gold from 26 metres to end of hole including two metres at 16.42g/t gold from 30 metres and six metres at 4.94g/t gold from 14 metres.

The latest targets were discovered from an induced polarisation (IP) survey that confirms an anomalous zone within a geochemical and magnetic anomaly. This anomalous zone is located 500 metres along strike of previous drilling at Soyuz.

The gold target zone remains open both at shallow depth and along strike.

At surface, previous soil sampling in the IP zone has indicated the presence of rare earth elements (REE) and uranium anomalism. This may suggest pathfinders for gold.

The Soyuz prospect is one of three newly identified prospects at Renascor’s wholly-owned Carnding Gold Project. The other prospects include the Mir and Sunshine gold prospects.

Renascor is in the process of seeking approvals to begin drilling at Soyuz. Exploration is expected to include drill testing of the existing gold zone at Soyuz, the IP anomaly and any additional targets.

Company shares are trading flat at 1.4 cents at 10:54 am AEST.
