Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) has obtained promising tungsten concentrates from testing of stockpiles at the historical Golden Gate tungsten mine within the company’s Horse Heaven project in Idaho, USA.

Assays of 2.3% tungsten trioxide (WO3) from the stockpiles located at the Johnson Creek mill site at Golden Gate. Notably, the company reported today, heavy liquid separation (HLS) scoping tests were successfully completed on the tungsten composite samples, achieving up to 75.5% recovery grading.
Dr Adam Roper, Resolution’s In-house senior metallurgist, said test work is also advancing on options to concentrate the antimony ore and gold-bearing samples at IMO labs in Perth – with results expected soon.
“The initial results are encouraging for the short-term processing of the historical tungsten stockpiles via simple gravity methods,” he said.
“This is a great start, and I’m looking forward to discussing the final results in the coming weeks, while discussions are underway with smelters and refiners.”
Historical mining occurred at Golden Gate in the 1950’s and the 1970’s until 1980. During the Second World War, the local district, including the adjoining stibnite mine, is estimated to have produced more than 90% of the US antimony and 50% of the nation’s tungsten.
Assay results from the late-2025 sampling program returned high-grade tungsten, material levels of gold and low levels of impurity elements.
A mini-bulk sample of 93.6kg comprising a composite of six samples of stockpile material contained 1.85% WO3 and material levels of gold at 0.11 grams per tonne (g/t).
An independent mineralogy study identified scheelite as the predominant WO3 ore mineral, with low levels of impurities.
Further tungsten concentrate test work is underway, and final product results are expected in the coming weeks.
Resolution is also initiating a major phase two drilling program in May at Golden Gate of up to 13,700m of diamond core drilling located within the company’s larger Horse Heaven antimony-tungsten-gold-silver project.
That particular working program is designed to define the scale of gold and tungsten mineralisation at Golden Gate and Golden Gate South and support progression toward a maiden mineral resource estimate.
RML is up +4.29% to 7.3¢. Mkt cap $146.8M.
