Riedel Resources (RIE) has appointed drilling contractor Boart Longyear (BLY) to undertake the reverse circulation drilling program at the Kingman Gold-Silver Project in Arizona, U.S.

Boart Longyear is headquartered in Utah, with extensive past drilling experience in the U.S.

The 5000-metres reverse circulation (RC) program is a substantial campaign which will test a number of areas where high-grade gold and silver was mined from the 1880’s to the 1940’s.

The area previously shows high grades were intersected at shallow depths in the late-2019 diamond drill program.

In addition, Riedel intends to drill test new areas, including ‘Jim’s’, where previous history mining and more recent geophysics has highlighted a prospective area.

“We are excited to be kicking off 2021 with a fully funded 5000-metre RC drilling program so early in the new year. The drill campaign will primarily focus on high priority targets at the Kingman Project including at Arizona-Magma, Merrimac, Tintic and at Jim’s,” said Riedel Chairman, Michael Bohm.

“As stated previously, the high gold and silver grades mined historically at the Kingman Project and replicated in the 2019 diamond drilling program, point to the significant opportunity at Kingman. This is a large project area covering a historic mineral field that has seen very little modern exploration and will be, we believe, the largest single drill program ever undertaken on the property”.

Drilling is expecting to commence by the end of the month, subject to completion of the permitting process and rig mobilisation.

Riedel Resources is in the grey, trading at 2.0 cents per share at 3:40 PM AEDT.
