- Rincon closed down 8.51 per cent at 21.5 cents per share
Rincon Resources (RCR) has appointed current CEO Gary Harvey as Managing Director.
Mr Harvey has more than 25 years’ experience in gold and nickel exploration, having led successful teams at various levels.
Previously, he held senior roles with Johnsons Well Mining, Forrestania Gold, Lionore Australia and Viceroy Australia, and a technical-support role with
Fortescue Metals Group (FMG).
Mr Harvey played key roles in the discovery and development of several gold and nickel deposits, including Blue Haze, Thunderbox, Birthday Gift/Main Lode, Newminster and many more.
Most recently, he was the Exploration Manager at Barra Resources (BAR), responsible for the exploration and development of that company’s gold assets. He left the company following its transition to underground mining at the Burbank’s Gold Project, WA.
Commenting on the appointment is Non-Executive Chairman Geoff McNamara.
“We have been extremely impressed with Gary’s enthusiasm, planning and execution of field programs over the last few months since his appointment as Chief Executive Office,” he said.
“His significant knowledge and experience in mineral exploration in Western Australia has proven to be invaluable. We are delighted to appoint Gary as Managing Director and we look forward to advancing exploration and development activities across our projects.”
Rincon closed down 8.51 per cent at 21.5 cents per share.
