Rumble Resources (RTR) has made a high-grade gold discovery at the Western Queen Project in Western Australia.

The high-grade discovery, 6 metres at 34.24g/t gold from 354 metres, was found in hole WQRC007D which has a very strong gold continuity.

Other results from the program include 4.4 metres at 3.22g/t gold from 349.9 metres and 5.4 metres at 5.11g/t gold from 365.5 metres.

As part of the program, Rumble completed 20 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes, for a total of 1900 metres, and three diamond core tails down plunge and along strike from the historic Western Queen Central mine and deposit.

The three diamond core tails were surveyed by DHTEM (down-hole transient electromagnetic), however, hole WQRC020D had a blockage and was only partially completed with the lower portion not surveyed.

The drilling and geophysical survey program was focused on the down-plunge and strike potential of the Western Queen Central mine and deposit.

Aims of the program included infill and extension drilling of the Western Queen Central South Oxide Zone and the Western Queen Central deposit, and reconnaissance drilling between the Western Queen Central South Oxide Zone and the Western Queen South mine and deposit.

The DHTEM highlighted multiple in-hole and off-hole conductors with three of them correlating with gold mineralisation.

The Western Queen Gold Project lies within 110 kilometres northwest of Mt Magnet within the Yalgoo mineral field in Western Australia and comprises of two neighbouring mining leases for a total area of 9.8 square kilometres.

The two mined deposits have a combined historic production of 880,000 tonnes at 7.6g/t gold for 215,000 ounces.

The Western Queen Central Mine has produced 660,000 tonnes at 8.9g/t gold for 189,500 ounces while the Western Queen South Mine has produced 220,000 tonnes at 3.6g/t gold for 25,500 ounces.

Rumble’s share price is up a slight 2.35 per cent with shares trading for 8.7 cents apiece at 2:31 pm AEDT.
