Sayona Mining (SYA) has completed a new drilling program at its Authier Lithium Project in Québec.

The lithium explorer completed a 25 hole, 3908-metre diamond drilling campaign, with findings from the first 22 holes available.

These results further advance Authier, with a stand out drill hole AL-21-14 intercepting nine metres at 1.46 per cent lithium oxide at 144.9 metres depth.

AL-21-14 is located 250 metres west of the Authier resource and potential open pit. Three additional holes have been completed to infill this new area of mineralisation, with assay results pending.

Commenting on the results is Sayona’s Managing Director, Brett Lynch.

“We are encouraged by this latest round of drilling at Authier, which shows the potential for a further resource expansion at this key project,” Mr Lynch said.

“With additional exploration drilling planned across our Québec projects in the year ahead, we look forward to increasing our lithium asset base to support North America’s accelerating decarbonisation drive.”

Sayona shares are down 3.33 per cent to 15.5 cents at 11:17 am AEDT.
