Scorpion Minerals (SCN) has commenced phase two reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Pharos Project in Western Australia.

Pharos lies in the Murchison Province and covers an area of 640 square kilometres.

The company completed phase one drilling at the end of September which aimed to confirm and define historical gold intercepts.

This phase one work consisted of 28 RC holes drilled across the Beacon, Lantern, Cap Lamp, Salt Flat, Oliver’s Patch, Candle, and Atlanta prospects.

Scorpion has received results for the first four holes with results peaking at 18g/t gold.

Results from the remaining holes are awaiting analysis and are expected in the next three weeks.

Half of this phase two drilling will be completed in the short term with the full program expected to be completed once all phase one results have been returned.

Work will include extensional drilling at Salt Flat and Oliver’s Patch where promising vein intercepts were encountered.

Follow-up drilling will also be completed at Lantern, extensional drilling at Beacon, and initial drilling at the Terrys South area.

Scorpion has ended the day in the grey and shares have been trading for 8.5 cents since October 2.
