Home security provider Scout Security (SCT) has launched its Kinetic Secure Home product into the US telco market.

Kinetic Home Secure is a customised integrated smart home solution, which includes alarm monitoring and video cloud storage.

In November 2020, Scout signed an agreement with US telecommunications provider Windstream to develop a customised smart security platform, along with a branding and marketing plan. Two months later, Scout received its first set of orders, forming part of the monthly order program with its new partner.

Initial orders have now been delivered to Windstream, and the parties have launched the Windstream-branded, Scout-powered product into the US market.

Scout says its initial sales plan is to leverage Windstream’s 500-person internal sales team and 25 retail stores, as well as Windstream’s eCommerce channel. The launch comes with entry level, indoor-outdoor camera kits and a full do-it-yourself security package.

Scout’s revenue will come from hardware sales and recurring revenue, earned in full on delivery of each product once initial orders have been delivered.

Scout’s recurring revenue will be in the form of monthly license and service fees paid for each active system, which is expected to build though the second half of 2021.

Co-Founder and CEO of Scout Security, Dan Roberts, said the partnership is a strong complement of capabilities to deliver a seamless smart home experience.

“We’re continuing to demonstrate, through domestic and international launches across varied industries, the flexibility and power of our platform to handle unique smart home and smart security rollouts across the globe,” said Dan Roberts.

“Now, in partnership with Windstream, we will work to make the Kinetic Secure Home program successful at scale.”

Scout Security was up 14.8 per cent, trading at 7 cents at 3:45 pm AEST.
