Senetas Corporation’s (SEN) subsidiary, Votiro, has entered a partnership and distribution agreement with U.S.-based data security solutions provider, Thales.

Under the agreement, Thales will offer solutions from Votiro’s Secure File Gateway product line, including email and web applications, which is designed to protect government agencies in North America from all cyber threats.

The companies will work together to provide efficient digital services that will protect government agencies from malware penetration. Malware comes in the form of viruses, worms, Trojan horses and ransomware. It is a software that is designed to damage and destroy computers and computer systems.

President of Thales Trusted Cyber-Technologies, Kirk Spring, said the partnership will help government agencies streamline operations by securing incoming data that governments must process.

“Utilising this solution is one step governments can take to work towards a primary goal—to ensure the well-being of their people through leveraging technology to improve everyday services,” he said.
