- SensOre (S3N) identifies gold anomalism through first-pass reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Balagundi joint venture project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia
- The company says the best assay result returned was 34 metres at 0.54 g/t gold from 96 metres including one metre at 5.4 g/t
- The drilling program also intercepted elevated multi-element pathfinder elements, which SensOre says is indicative of a larger mineralised system nearby
- The company has also secured drill rigs for a larger follow-up drilling program commencing in Q2 CY22
- S3N shares were up 8.22 per cent at 79 cents
SensOre’s (S3N) initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Balagundi joint venture project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia has picked up the scent of gold.
The company’s recently completed first-pass round of drilling was aimed at verifying historical workings and exploration results to build a stratigraphic and geochemical fingerprint for a more substantial drill program in 2022.
Best of the assay results returned was 34 metres grading 0.54 grams per tonne gold from 96 metres including one metre at 5.4 g/t gold.
The RC program also encountered elevated multi-element pathfinder elements, which SenOre said was indicative of a larger mineralised system nearby.
The company said new infill gravity geophysics and machine learning on geochemical multi-element data reinterpreted the geology and identified target corridors for follow-up drilling.
SensOre has secured drill rigs for its next planned, larger drilling program at Balagundi commencing in Q2 CY22. It will consist of about 3,000 metres of aircore, RC and diamond drilling.
CEO Richard Taylor said the first-pass drilling work coupled with new geophysics had generated exciting follow-up targets.
“SensOre’s methodical approach to early drilling, acquisition of infill geophysics and multi-element geochem is paying off with elevated gold in all holes drilled. It is the beginning of an exciting period of exploration at Balagundi,” he said.
S3N shares were trading 8.22 per cent higher at 79 cents at 2:51 pm AEDT.
