ServTech enters logistic market for its smart glasses

ServTech Global has announced its subsidiary, Vection Italy, has signed a contract with Alfacod Group for its smart glasses.

The smart glasses are powered to be “Optimised Picking” software meaning the glasses will help the worker ‘order pick’ in warehouse operations.

The glasses are aimed to increase process efficiency and quality in complex logistics activities using augmented reality (AR) technology.

ServTech is a multinational software company that makes virtual reality (VR) and AR software services for engineering, manufacturing, architecture, construction and education industries.

Employees in the logistics industry typically perform multiple actions when managing the order, such as locating the correct product, scanning and delivering it to the loading dock.

The smart glasses will help employees see the digital picking list in their field of vision and see the best route, reducing their travel time and reduce picking errors.

Vection will supply Alfacod with this software for $15,000 which if is successful will deliver up to $75,000 in short term revenues.

Alfacod is a market leader for computing solutions, traceability/tracking of goods, high-speed wifi architectures, digital printing solutions and much more.

It’s recognised as an expert in bar codes, identification and traceability technological solutions and application. It has partnerships with Haworth, Panasonic, HP, Datalogic and many more.

ServTech Managing Director Gianmarco Biagi is happy to enter the logistics market with Alfacod.

“Our AR technology capability has a diverse range of applications, and partnering with key players such as Alfacod, enables us to develop the required products to establish multiple SaaS products on the market,” he said.

Alfacod President Giorgio Solferini believes VR and AR technologies is the future.

“Although the first solution targets the logistics industry, we believe it has broader
applicability across the manufacturing segments of the market. We firmly believe that VR & AR technologies will be increasingly adopted across a variety of industries in which our clients operate,” he said.

Alfacod says it is also currently in discussions with Vection to extend its engagement into a long-term partnership.
