Sky Metals (SKY) has completed a second hole during a new drilling program at the 3KEL target at its Doradilla project in NSW.

The 3KEL target is a large-scale, tin-polymetallic system and remains open at depth and along strike for over two and a half kilometres.

The company says the hole, 3KDD014, has intercepted 30 to 40 metres of potential tin bearing mlayite. This hole is drilled to extend mineralisation over 80 metres down dip from 3KRCD007, which has returned assays.

These include 42 metres at 0.41 per cent tin from 37 metres and 7 metres at 1.31 per cent tin and 0.22 per cent copper from 63 metres.

According to Sky, diamond drilling is continuing, targeting expansions to the large tin-polymetallic target at 3KEL.

Additionally, the company says a preliminary trial of TOMRA XRT ore sorting technology has shown it can be applied to the mineralisation at Doradilla. A bulk sample will reportedly be sent to TOMRA ore sorting for further test work.

Shares were up one per cent, trading at 9.8 cents at 2.15 pm AEDT.
