Southern Hemisphere Mining (SUH) has received all results from the historical core sampling program at the Llahuin project in Chile.

Several samples were recovered from the project’s 2012-2013 drilling program and have been re-logged and sampled on one metre intervals.

A total of 1717 one-metre samples were cut and sent to the ALS laboratory in Chile with a best result of 31 metres at 0.57 per cent copper equivalent from zero metres.

This hole also intersected 0.08 parts per million (ppm) gold, 0.3 ppm silver, 1.5 ppm molybdenum and 0.50 per cent copper.

SUH said the recovery of the old drill core is “invaluable” for assay, geotechnical, and waste rock characterisation for mining studies and resource updates.

Diamond drilling is progressing well at Llahuin with 191 metres completed across two holes.

A future reverse circulation (RC) drilling program is being planned and will be submitted to the relevant authorities for approval.

SUH has also reported drilling at the Colina2 gold project in Chile is progressing well with four holes drilled to date.

Drilling will continue for a further three to four holes over the next two weeks before results are released in roughly eight weeks.

Once results are received, the next program will be planned.

Finally, Luke Abbott has resigned as Company Secretary with Keith Bowker appointed his replacement.

Mr Bowker holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University and has experience in secretarial, corporate compliance and financial accounting.

Shares in SUH were down four per cent on market close and trading at 2.4 cents each.
