Spacetalk’s (SPA) namesake smartwatch for children, Spacetalk Adventurer, will soon be available in Norway through Elkjøp’s retail stores.

With more than 800 stores, Elkjøp is the largest electronics retailer in the Nordic countries with stores across Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

Elkjøp is owned by Dixons Carphone which is a British multinational electrical and telecommunications retailer and services company.

Spacetalk and Elkjøp are working together to target a launch in November 2021 with the Adventurer watch initially available in Elkjøp’s 60 largest stores.

Spacetalk Adventurer is the company’s next-generation 4G smartphone watch for kids between five to 12.

These watches allow parents to communicate with their children without allowing access to the internet meaning apps such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram cannot be accessed.

Parents are also able to block calls and messages from unknown numbers and will be notified if any try to call.

To coincide with the Nordic launch, it has been updated to support European languages, including all Nordic languages.

“We are very excited the Elkjøp has joined the Spacetalk family to distribute our all-in-one smartphone watches,” CEO Mark Fortunatow said.

“The Nordic region has advanced awareness and uptake of the connected kids wearables category, and Elkjøp in particular have significant experience and a strong sales track record in the connected kids smartwatch phone category.”

Spacetalk has ended the day in the grey, with shares trading at 22.5 cents each for a $37.28 million market cap.
