SportsHero (SHO) has signed an exclusive Indonesian partnership with ICON, the owner of Australia’s leading eSports brand, Chiefs Esports Club.

Under the agreement, SportsHero and ICON will jointly operate and co-brand SportsHero’s Indonesian OlahBola platform.

OlahBola is an Indonesian football network dedicated to international football, covering popular leagues, such as the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga.

Earlier this month, the football platform achieved over 2.7 million users.

The agreement is for three years and has an option to extend the partnership. All revenues generated from the platform will be shared equally.

“We are delighted to partner with ICON and The Chiefs Esports Club, which is
recognised as one of the pre-eminent esports organisations,” CEO Tom Lapping said.

“ICON’s functionality is a strong and complementary fit with our highly successful OlahBola app. The additional functionality enabling us to engage esports fans and new brand partners to drive new income streams,” he added.

Last week, the company received binding commitments to raise $1.5 million to fund its next stage of growth in Indonesia.

On the market, SportsHero is up 30.6 per cent and is trading at 4.7 cents per share at 1:55 pm AEDT.
