SportsHero’s (SHO) Indonesian football platform, OlahBola, has achieved over 2.7 million users following record monthly user growth.

In January, the company saw over 586,000 users join the platform, meaning overall it has already surpassed its target users.

SportsHero launched Olahbola in July last year, which was named after the collective chant of Indonesian football crowds.

The platform is dedicated to international football and Indonesian football fans who follow other leagues such as the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga.

“The surpassing of 2.7 million unique users is another very significant milestone. Our rapidly growing user base is attracting international and local brand partners and our sales pipeline is building,” CEO Tom Lapping said.

“We have a clear go-to market strategy and a very attractive value proposition with
the OlahBola platform allowing brands to target the highly sought after demographic of 18 to 35-year-old Indonesian males,” he added.

Social Media

Social media marketing and promotions launched on OlahBola’s social media channels have also seen positive results.

In December, OlahBola created a Tiktok account, and followers on the app tripled in January. The platform has more followers than popular Indonesian football accounts such as Persija Jakarta and Bola.com.

On the video-sharing social networking site, OlahBola posts generated over two million views in less than 24 hours.

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, the company’s followers grew 76.4 per cent in January to over 11,500.

On the market, SportsHero is up 14.3 per cent and is trading at 3.2 cents per share at 12:54 pm AEDT.
