SRG land $20M contract for office tower in Brisbane

Building company SRG Global has received a $20 million contract to work on a Brisbane office tower.

The company will take care of the design, supply and installation of an engineered curtain wall facades at the Midtown Centre Project.

Developments at the Midtown Centre will see two older office buildings merged into a single new tower in Brisbane’s central business district.

SRG’s work is expected to commence January next year on the $175 million, 26-story development, with an 18 month run time.

Managing Director of SRG David Macgeorge said “securing this contract is a significant success for our facades division and SRG Global.”

“We are pleased to be again partnering with tier-one contractor J Hutchinson, who we already have a strong relationship within both our facades and structure business. This project also enhances our secured long-term project work in hand,” David added.

The company operates across five business units including civil construction which deals with dams, bridges, tanks and windfarms. Building construction which includes form work, facades, post-tensioning and engineering.

A manufacturing sector which deals with specialist products for construction, mining and geotech. Asset services which encompasses oil and gas mining, bridges, roads, rails, refractories, transmission towers, wind farms and access solutions.

As well as mining services including drilling and blasts, ground support and monitoring.

SRG’s share price is up nine per cent today, currently sitting at $0.48 per share.
