Strategic Elements has reported its Nanocube Memory Ink Technology has undergone significant technical improvements.

The development of an advanced memory ink for printing onto plastic materials was significantly advanced over a period of months. This resulted in new production methods for Nanocube and its use on plastics.

The Nanocube Memory Ink is a liquid and transparent ink which contains billions of small nanometer cube-shaped particles. When they are printed onto a surface and assembled with electrodes they operate as a computer memory.

This technology targets the global multi-billion dollar printed electronics market and has the potential to enable significant amounts of data to be stored and retrieved in printed electronics circuits for data requirements.

Recent developments also included work funded by the Australian Federal Government’s Research Connections Program. They primarily focused on optimising the Nanocube Memory Ink for use on glass surfaces and enhancing its potential for use in transparent electronics.

A transparent electronics demonstrator is currently being developed in conjunction with a leading Australian electronics product design company. The demonstrator is focused on showcasing the ability to print memory cells onto glass and the transparent nature of the ink.

The demonstrator is due in the third quarter of 2019.

Strategic Elements shares are up 20 per cent trading for 4.8 cents with a market cap of $9.889 million.
