Strategic Energy Resources (SER) has completed the drilling of three diamond holes at the Saxby Gold Project in Queensland.

According to SER, Saxby is the most significant gold prospect in the northeast Mt Isa Province with historical drilling intersecting up to 15.1g/t gold.

So far, this spans 200 metres in length but the potential exists to extend for a further 2 kilometres.

The aim of this drilling was to target strike extensions of the key controlling structure of the gold mineralised extensional veins.

Hole SXDD023 was drilled towards the east to a depth of 75 degrees.

Rotary mud drilling was used from the cover to the basement, which was intersected at 448 metres when the hole was cased for diamond drilling until the end of the hole at 825.6 metres.

The diamond core from all three holes will be geologically logged, structurally logged, and have its measurements taken.

This will then be sampled and assayed for gold with first results expected in mid-November.

SER has ended the day 7.69 per cent in the green with shares trading for 7 cents each in a $10.4 million market cap.
