Strickland Metals (STK) has announced initial results from its Millrose project in Western Australia.

The Millrose Gold Project is located in the Yandal Belt and lies about 30 kilometres east of Northern Star Resources’ (NST) Jundee gold operation.

The drilling program included 44 reverse circulation (RC) holes, with 22 of these having diamond tails, and two diamond holes.

The first 16 holes were drilled in the northern part of the project and aimed to better understand the mineralisation controls, reduce the drill density in mineralised zones, allow for the modelling of structural and weathering controls on mineralisation distribution and assess historical data quality.

Today’s results come from the first six drill holes with the ‘standout’ according to the company coming from hole MRRC089. This hole intersected 55 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 86 metres.

Additional significant results include 31 metres at 1.8 g/t gold from 93 metres including three metres at 6.8 g/t gold, 35.1 metres at 1.94 g/t gold from 136 metres, and 4.8 metres at 4.1 g/t gold from 219.8 metres including 1.8 metres at 9.9 g/t gold.

CEO Andrew Bray said it’s “very exciting” that assays are beginning to flow from our 2022 drilling campaign.

“Even more exciting is the fact we are intersecting such wide, consistent zones of gold. The result in MRRC089 – 55 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 86 metres – is one of the most impressive assays to date out of all historic Millrose drilling. We also think there is strong potential for higher grade zones of mineralisation closer to surface,” Mr Bray said.

Strickland Metals are also pleased that gold bearing structures seem to continue for at least 700 metres south of today’s assays after sighting visible gold in diamond hole MRDD011.

“It’s going to be a very exciting few months for shareholders as assays continue to flow in from Millrose,” Mr Bray concluded.

Strickland shares were up 7.81 per cent and trading at 6.9 cents at 11:58 am AEST.
