Sunshine Gold (SHN) has intersected up to 52.86g/t gold from the Big Hans Prospect at the Triumph Gold Project.

Triumph is situated in the Northern New England Orogen, which lies 50 kilometres south of Gladstone in NSW.

Sunshine Gold has also received additional results from the Super Hans Prospect, adding on to those announced earlier in the month.

Big Hans

At Big Hans, five reverse circulation (RC) holes, for 578 metres, were drilled in early February to test the continuity of previously drilled areas.

Best results include four metres at 27.12g/t gold from 43 metres including two metres at 52.86g/t gold from 43 metres, and five metres at 1.41g/t gold from 79 metres including one metre at 12.7g/t gold from 96 metres.

These results have confirmed a north-south trending zone of high-grade mineralisation.

Super Hans

Throughout January, six RC holes, for 420 metres, were drilled at Super Hans to follow-up on shallow high-grade intersections.

Sunshine Gold received results for the first four holes earlier in the month, which saw grades peak at 12.95g/t gold.

New results include five metres at 3.2g/t gold from 31 metres including two metres at 7.43g/t gold from 31 metres, and 11 metres at 3.23g/t gold from 31 metres including eight metres at 4.27g/t gold from 31 metres.

“The high-grade results from Big Hans validate our revised our structural model of a north-south orientation. Further drilling is planned to test the north-south trending lode orientation which remains open in all directions,” Managing Director Damien Keys said.

“Sunshine Gold has now drilled six holes [at Super Hans] adding to the five effective previous holes which all contain significant mineralised intersections. The system is now defined over 110 metres of strike. Further drilling is planned to assess depth and strike extensions and will commence in March 2021,” he added.

Sunshine Gold has now completed drilling at the Super Hans, Big Hans, Bald Hill West, Galena, Bonneville, Brigham Young and New Constitution prospects.

A small reconnaissance drilling program will now be undertaken to test portions of the Norton Fault near areas with known mineralisation.

Sunshine Gold has ended the day 3.51 per cent in the green with shares trading at 5.9 cents in a $25.34 million market cap.
