Suvo Strategic Minerals (SUV) continues to record high-grade halloysite results from clay testing at its Trawalla deposit.

Trawalla is located near SUV’s Pittong Kaolin Operation in Victoria and the business is hoping to produce halloysite-kaolin from the deposit to sell to a number of end-users.

Best results from the most recent testing of refined clay samples from Trawalla include 32.4 per cent hallyosite concentrate and ISO Brightness of up to 86.6 per cent.

The high results mean the product is potentially suited for high quality paint and paper coating applications.

The samples all come from 14 drill holes from the deposit and previous results returned from these clay samples include high grades of up to 45.4 per cent.

Commenting on the results, Suvo’s Executive Chairman Robert Martin said he was pleased with the high-grades reported.

“This is another outstanding result from the drill samples from our Trawalla deposit,” he said.

“We are currently working with our international partners and experts to identify new market segments for Trawalla including opportunities in a number of high value industries including concrete, ceramics and battery and nano technology.

“Being the only operating hydrous kaolin mine in Australia will put us front and centre of
these ever expanding markets.”

Next steps for SUV will be to carry out additional test work to determine the Trawalla halloysite clays geological and mineralogical aspects.

Shares in Suvo were up 4.17 per cent at 12.5 cents each at 3:13 pm AEDT.
