Talisman Mining (TLM) has identified multiple new gold targets at the Lachlan Copper-Gold Project in NSW.

Recent soil sampling programs at the Carpina Ridge North and Plantation Gold prospects has identified highly prospective gold-in-soil anomalies.

All up, 735 samples were collected and submitted to ALS Global Laboratory in NSW for gold and multi-element analysis.

At Carpina Ridge North, Talisman identified a gold anomaly grading more than 20 parts per billion and spanning one kilometre by 1.5 kilometres.

Given this result, the company will undertake mapping, rock chip sampling and reverse circulation (RC) drilling in the area.

Soil sampling was then completed at the Plantation Prospect with work identifying two discrete gold-in-soil anomalies.

Further in-fill sampling will need to be undertaken at these two anomalies to better define the geometry.

“Again, the Talisman teams has done an outstanding job in identifying these large and highly prospective gold-in-soil anomalies, adding to our pipeline of compelling near-term drill targets at the Lachlan Project,” Interim CEO Shaun Vokes commented.

“These new gold targets are in addition to the exciting Combine gold target announced recently and show that our exploration endeavours are really beginning to deliver exciting results,” he said.

“We intend to move quickly to further evaluate these opportunities in the hope of making a significant discovery,” he added.

Shares in Talisman are steady on the market and are trading at 14.5 cents at 12:42 pm AEST.
