Talonx Resources (ASX:TXR) is preparing to follow-up recent drilling success and investigate mineral resource potential after obtaining high-grade resampling of selected anomalous composite samples from the Viking gold project in WA.

The resampling of composite samples came from the recent RC drilling program at the Blair North gold project, located approximately 25km east of Kalgoorlie.

Anomalous composite samples were resampled at 1.0m intervals. In drillhole 26VKRC010, the previously reported composite interval of 8.0m at 11.02 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 32m was resolved into a higher- grade interval of 4.0m at 22.05 from 31m, including 2.0m at 42.4 g/t from 32m.

EC, Dr Steve Lennon, said the outstanding high-grade gold results further demonstrate the potential of the Viking project.

He said the high-grade returns highlight the potential for very high-grade shoots within the broader shallow oxide gold system.

“Importantly, mineralisation remains open in multiple directions and the high-grade interval is associated with strong quartz veining that extends into fresh rock,” Mr Lennon said.

“We are already planning the next round of drilling to test the continuity and extent of this mineralisation, which will be followed by an evaluation of the resource potential of the Beaker 2 prospect.”

At Viking, the company completed a 13-hole, 1,110m RC drilling program at the Beaker 2 and Beaker 4 prospects. At Beaker 2, all 10 RC holes returned gold mineralisation, confirming a broadly sub-horizontal shallow oxide gold zone now defined over approximately 400m by 300m.

Mineralisation was consistently intersected at shallow depths of approximately 20m to 40m across the drill footprint, demonstrating strong continuity within the oxide profile and supporting its potential to develop into a shallow oxide gold resource. The zone remains open to the west and along strike to the north and south.

The standout result was returned from the southwestern margin of the oxide gold zone. The high-grade mineralisation is associated with quartz veining within sheared granite host rocks.

Follow-up RC drilling will test the mineralised quartz-vein target along strike and below 26VKRC010 to determine whether the mineralisation continues into fresh rock.

Beaker 2 remains open to the west, north and south, providing scope to expand the shallow oxide mineralised footprint.

TXR is steady at 0.5¢ with a Mkt cap of $4.659M prior to markets opening.
