TechGen Metals (TG1) has confirmed the presence of ultramafic and mafic rocks at its Narryer project in Western Australia.

The discovery was identified through recently completed rock chip sampling and interpretation of airborne magnetic data.

The encouraging results sparked the company’s interest to acquire a new exploration licence. This is pegged to cover the northern extension of an interpreted mafic-ultramafic intrusion.

The company is now shifting its focus on targeting magmatic massive nickel/copper and PGE sulphides.

It also recently completed an ultrafine soil sampling program and is awaiting results.

Executive Technical Director Andrew Jones said the team was encouraged by the discovery.

“The rock chip assay results have provided us with an early and exciting ‘Proof of Concept’ confirming that mafic and ultramafic rocks are present in the eastern magnetic anomaly area,” he said.

Shares were trading 9.68 per cent higher today at 17 cents each at 10:59 am AEST.
