Tempus Resources (TMR) has identified visible gold in hole EZ-21-12 at its Elizabeth Gold Project in Canada.

The Elizabeth Project lies within the gold producing area of British Columbia, 200 kilometres north of Vancouver.

It has a historical inferred mineral resource estimate of 206,000 ounces of gold at 12.26 grams of gold per tonne (g/t).

The visible gold was identified within a one-metre wide quartz vein from a downhole depth of 118.50 metres.

This quartz vein is within a larger alteration and veining zone that runs from 107.65 metres to 120.35 metres.

This is an encouraging discovery as it demonstrates a larger orogenic vein system.

Tempus has also received results from four holes which were drilled at the northern end of the northern ore shoot at Elizabeth.

All intersected gold mineralisation with a best result of 0.70 metres at 9.06g/t gold from 51.50 metres.

Other results include one metre at 4.88g/t gold from 40.10 metres, one metre at 2.05g/t gold from 245 metres and 1.5 metres at 1.28g/t gold from 134.50 metres.

Currently, there are 11 holes pending assay results which are expected to be reported on in due course.

CEO Jason Bahnsen is excited by the visible gold as he said it can lead to bonanza gold grades.

“When we get visible gold at Elizabeth, it can lead to ‘bonanza’ grade intersections as we’ve seen with previous holes announced from this years’ drilling,” Mr Bahnsen commented.

“However, what’s more exciting about the visible gold in drill hole EZ-21-12 is that it’s approximately 150 metres northwest of our SW Vein zone so it indicates the discovery of a previously unknown new gold vein zone at Elizabeth.”

Shares in Tempus closed 2.56 per cent down at 19 cents.
