Tempus Resources (TMR) has received first results from its 2021 drilling program at its Elizabeth Gold Project in Canada.

The project lies within the gold producing area of British Columbia, 200 kilometres north of Vancouver.

It has a historical inferred mineral resource estimate of 206,000 ounces of gold at 12.26 grams of gold per tonne (g/t).

Results have been received for hole EZ-21-04, which is part of the group of holes designed to intersect the northern ore-shoot of the southwest vein to test the mineralisation grade and add to the confidence.

Four holes were drilled in the group, with results for the remaining three expected shortly.

Results include four metres at 31.2g/t gold from 122 metres including 1.5 metres at 51.2g/t gold from 123 metres and 0.50 metres at 72g/t gold from 124 metres.

Samples from a further four holes were submitted to the lab in July while samples from an additional seven holes are being prepared to be sent to the lab.

President and CEO Jason Bahnsen said drilling at Elizabeth continued to generate very high-grade intersections over robust widths.

“We will be receiving further assay results soon and we’re very excited to see the results as we continue to expand the Elizabeth resource envelope,” Mr Bahnsen said.

Shares in Tempus were up 10.4 per cent on the market and were trading at 26.5 cents at 11:30 am AEST.
