Tesoro Resources (TSO) has received assay results from four diamond holes at the Ternera prospect at the El Zorro Gold Project in Chile.

Drilling was designed to outline mineralisation throughout the deposit and provide additional information for modelling and resource estimation.

37 holes have been drilled, for 10,440 metres, with results pending for 23 as there have been significant delays arising from COVID-19.

All four of the holes intersected multiple gold bearing zones with a peak result of four metres at 5.34g/t gold from 142 metres.

Other results include one metre at 4.39g/t gold from 92 metres and one metre at 3.86g/t gold from 226 metres.

“These results continue to demonstrate the continuity of grade not only along, but also between the mineralised CC faults at Ternera. Each hole has intersected multiple mineralised zones which continue to add to the gold inventory at El Zorro,” Managing Director Zeff Reeves commented.

“We believe the project has huge potential, with Ternera being the first of five targets identified at El Zorro, and our confidence in the exploration model continues to increase,” he added.

Tesoro is continuing to drill at Ternera with two diamond rigs currently operating 24 hours a day.

Once all results have been received the company will drill additional holes to outline resource definition.

Tesoro is up 2.56 per cent on the market with shares trading 40 cents each at 11:30 am AEDT.
