Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) has been popular with HotCopper followers after agreeing to acquire 100% of Hammer Metals (ASX:HMX) today.
The CY26 transaction will combine Larvotto’s near-term producing Hillgrove antimony-gold project in New South Wales with Hammer’s advanced district-scale Mt Isa copper and critical minerals portfolio in Queensland.
Larvotto’s MD, Ron Heeks, said the plan is to create an Oz critical minerals and precious metals company with near-term production, strategic antimony exposure and a substantial copper growth platform. “This transaction is a highly compelling tactical and strategic fit that significantly strengthens Larvotto’s position as an emerging Australian critical minerals and precious metals company.”
LRV was down -12.4%, to $1.17 at the time of going to press.
Core Lithium (ASX:CXO) also attracted attention after it revealed plans for a proposed spin-out of certain Northern Territory and South Australian exploration assets. The move will create a new Aussie gold exploration company, “Axiant Resources,” through a public offering of new shares by Axiant.
Under the IPO, Core will retain all lithium rights on all tenements prospective for lithium. Core will remain as a lithium-focused producer and explorer and maintain its balance sheet strength by retaining a significant shareholding in Axiant.
If Axiant is successfully admitted to ASX, it will use the funds raised from its IPO to explore for gold and other metals (excluding lithium) on the company’s tenements.
CXO was down -1.04%, to 23.8¢.
And finally, Beetaloo Energy (ASX:BTL) has been trending across the HotCopper forums through today after confirming that, following the end of the wet season, activity across the Beetaloo Basin has ramped up significantly as it progresses towards pilot production from its Carpentaria Pilot Project.
MD, Alex Underwood, said the transportation of the Carpentaria Gas Plant and early construction mark another important milestone. “In parallel, preparations for the extended production test of Carpentaria-5H are nearing completion, with flow testing to commence in the coming weeks,” he said.
BTL has been up +0.94% today, to 26.8¢.
Looking wider, the ASX 200 is lower, dropping -0.41% to 8,617pts.
