Tietto Minerals (TIE) has received results from the fifth batch of infill drilling completed at the Abujar-Gludehi (AG) deposit.

The AG deposit is part of the 3.35-million ounce Abujar gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

Today’s results account for 12 diamond hols, for 2526.5 metres, completed as part of the 30,000-metre infill program which aims to upgrade a portion of the indicated mineral resource to the measured category.

Best results from the latest batch include eight metres at 12.43 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 187 metres including two metres at 48.37g/t gold, 12 metres at 6.1g/t gold from 208 metres including 10 metres at 7.15g/t gold, and 18 metres at 4.36g/t gold from 214 metres including three metres at 18.25g/t gold.

Managing Director Dr Caigen Wang commented on the latest results.

“Our fifth batch of results from our infill drilling program at Abujar is delivering up more high-grade gold intercepts that continue to de-risk open-pit mining at Abujar,” he said.

“These impressive results follow our definitive feasibility study (DFS) last month that confirmed Abujar’s potential to be one of the largest gold producing mines in Côte d’Ivoire, expected to produce more than 260,000 ounces of gold in the first year and 1.2 million ounces of gold in the first six years.”

At this stage, the company is on track to achieve its first gold production in the final quarter of 2022.

Tietto is waiting on assays for 99 holes and expects to receive the next lot before the end of the month. Drilling is continuing and the next resource update is expected by the end of this year.

Company shares were up a slight 1.15 per cent to trade at 44 cents at 12:49 pm AEDT.
