Tietto Minerals (TIE) has intersected up to 102.39 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from the Abujar-Gludehi (AG) deposit in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

The AG deposit is part of Tietto’s Abujar Gold Project which lies roughly 30 kilometres from the city of Daloa.

Results have been received for nine diamond holes, for 1681 metres, drilled as part of Tietto’s infill drilling program.

This program is aiming to convert a portion of the indicated resource of 35 million tonnes at 1.5g/t gold for 1.65 million ounces to measured.

Best results include seven metres at 30.67g/t gold from 125 metres, including two metres at 102.39g/t gold and eight metres at 5.95g/t gold from 79 metres, in turn including six metres at 7.82g/t gold.

Tietto is waiting on results for a further 80 holes, for 15,684 metres, and the remaining 1287 metres of infill drilling is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

Mineralisation remains open at depth and Tietto will plan further drilling programs to assess the potential for underground mining below the planned definitive feasibility study (DFS) open pit.

Managing Director Caigen Wang is excited by the continued success at Abujar.

“Our fourth batch of results from our infill drilling program at Abujar is delivering up more high-grade gold intercepts that continue to de-risk open pit mining at Abujar,” Dr Wang commented.

“These impressive results follow hard on the heels of our DFS earlier this month that confirmed Abujar’s potential to be one of the largest gold producing mines in Côte d’Ivoire with more than 260,000 ounces of gold expected to be produced in the first year and 1.2 million ounces of gold in the first six years.”

Shares in Tietto closed down 7.45 per cent at 43.5 cents.
