Tietto Minerals (TIE) has intersected up to 168.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at AG Core within its Abujar gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

Results have been received from 18 diamond holes, for 2346.5 metres, drilled to allow for further increases to the measured resources in the mineral resource estimate update planned for Q3 CY22.

Intersections include 8.68 metres at 27.61 g/t gold from 84.3 metres including 1.07 metres at 168.6 g/t gold, and 14 metres at 4.07 g/t gold from 38 metres including one metre at 46.1 g/t gold.

These results have increased the number of holes recording more than 50 g/t gold to 77 and the number recording more than 200 g/t gold to 14 at AG Core.

Assays are pending for a further 108 holes, for 15,508.2 metres, drilled at AG South and AG Core.

Further drilling has been planned to assess the potential below the definitive feasibility study open pit and test the limits of the mineralisation which remains open at depth.

“This program is part of a small, targeted program designed to allow for further increases to measured resources in the next MRE update later in Q3 CY22,” Managing Director Dr Caigen Wang said.

“Once this program is completed, our drill rigs will move to the main Abujar Shear, which is still largely untested, and undertake new resource definition drilling.”

Tietto was down 3.95 per cent on the market with shares trading at 36.5 cents at 12:22 pm AEST.
