TNT Mines (TIN) has received initial results from the maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Eureka Gold Project.

Eureka lies roughly 50 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and has a combined inferred and indicated mineral resource of 43,100 ounces of gold at 1.8g/t.

All up, 91 RC holes have been planned to target the known extensions of mineralisation, previously drilled high-grade areas, and historic workings.

As of February 5, 65 holes had been drilled and TNT has received results for the first 26.

There is currently a delay in receiving the remaining results due to a backlog at the laboratory but TNT expects it will receive the remaining results by mid to late February.

Significant results include four metres at 6.56g/t gold from 74 metres including two metres at 11.8g/t gold, and two metres at 5.59g/t gold from 248 metres including one meter at 10.1g/t gold.

These results have extended mineralisation at Eureka to the north and south of the existing pit area and additional drilling has been planned to test these areas.

“While early on in the program, witless than 30 per cent of the entire program’s assay results returned, so far we have been surprised with the width of mineralisation encountered,” Chairman Alex Hewlett said.

“Additionally, the arrival of a more powerful RC drill rig late last week will enable testing for any high-grade down dip potential of the Eureka gold system,” he added.

Once drilling wraps up at Eureka, the drill crews will move to the Warriedar Project to test the extensions of the Reid’s Ridge mine lode.

TNT has ended the day 12.5 per cent in the red with shares trading at 21 cents in a $23.14 million market cap.
