Todd River Resources (TRT) has begun an aircore drilling program on the Western Trend of the Berkshire Valley Project in Western Australia.

This project is located in the South West Province of the Yilgarn Craton and has seen limited exploration with more than 34 kilometres of strike remaining largely untested.

The aircore program will follow up on nickel, copper and platinum group element (PGE) anomalies that have been identified through recent sampling.

The recently completed geochemical sampling program began in March and targeted the Eastern Trend and parts of the Western Trend. This work aimed to outline areas of nickel–copper–PGE anomalies.

Drilling will first focus on a 5.5-kilometre strike that contains high priority geochemical targets which haven’t yet been tested.

Todd River expects the aircore program will take four weeks at most and will collect samples as three-metre composites. These samples will then be assayed for a variety of elements including base and precious metals.

Company shares are up 1.37 per cent and are trading at 7.4 cents just before market close.
