Todd River Resources (TRT) has received results from a 300-hole aircore drilling program conducted at the Berkshire Valley Project in Western Australia.

Completed in early May, the wide-spaced drilling effort tested the extent and potential of mafic and ultramafic intrusions. It also aimed to identify the areas that are anomalous for base and precious metals that require deeper drilling.

Pleasingly, the aircore program defined a three-kilometre-long zone of base metal anomalism within weathered rocks. This trend, which remains open to the north, was found at the northern end of the drilling area.

The company is now re-assaying three-metre composite samples that are anomalous in base metals. They’re being tested for platinum, palladium and gold by fire assay. Results from these re-assays are expected in the next four weeks.

Additionally, Todd River will follow up base metal results with deeper drilling to determine the potential for a sulphide system at depth.

The company is also waiting for assays results from geochemical sampling on the Eastern Trend. These are expected by the end of this month.

Todd River’s shares dropped 12.8 per cent to trade at 6.8 cents at 11:18 am AEST.
