Todd River Resources (TRT) has restarted its reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Berkshire Valley Project, 160km north of Perth, following the Christmas break.

The Nickel-Copper-Platinum Group Element (PGE) Project lies within the South West Province of the Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia.

The drilling will continue on from the December program which focused on areas that previously intersected sulphides in shallow aircore drilling.

Focus is also on areas where highly anomalous nickel-copper-PGE soil geochemistry has been identified.

Drilling will begin at the Mako Prospect where multiple shallow aircore holes identified sulphides at the end of the hole or in semi-fresh rock. Samples will then be collected and submitted for assay for a suite of elements including base and precious metals.

Simultaneously, a moving loop electromagnetic (MLTEM) survey is set to begin in the week beginning January 10 and has been designed to identify conductors at depth over the Eastern Trend and a new area to the north.

Managing Director Will Dix said the company is excited to begin drilling again.

“It’s exciting to be back on the ground so soon after the Christmas break,” Mr Dix commented.

“We are delighted to continue the drilling program at Berkshire Valley with the focus significantly shifting to deeper drilling following the successful reconnaissance program drilled late last year.

“To be able to progress quickly with the moving loop survey while the rig is on-site gives us some flexibility with the work program and the ability to quickly take advantage of anything significant we identify.”

Todd River was up 5.26 per cent on the market with shares trading at eight cents at 11am AEDT.
