  • In the upcoming days, Torian Resources (TNR) will begin a 15,000-metre drilling campaign at the Mt Stirling Gold Project
  • Previous work has demonstrated Mt Stirling as a potentially large gold system with results up to 33.10g/t gold being returned
  • The initial target will be the new Diorite East Prospect and work will focus on several historical gold-in-soil anomalies and favourable geological features
  • This will then be followed up by the Diorite Block where recent rock chip and soil sampling returned samples grading up to 21g/t gold and 9.59g/t silver

In the upcoming days, Torian Resources (TNR) will begin a 15,000-metre drilling campaign at the Mt Stirling Gold Project.

The Mt Stirling Project lies 40 kilometres northwest of Leonora in Western Australia, eight kilometres northwest of Red 5’s (RED) King of the Hills gold mine which has produced more than one million ounces of gold.

Previous work has demonstrated Mt Stirling as a potentially large gold system, with results such as four metres at 8.84g/t gold including one metre at 33.10g/t gold being returned.

The initial target will be the new Diorite East Prospect and work will focus on several historical gold-in-soil anomalies and favourable geological features.

This will then be followed up by the Diorite Block where recent rock chip and soil sampling returned samples grading up to 21g/t gold and 9.59g/t silver.

“The coming program ushers in an exciting phase of our company and our shareholders as we embark on one of our largest and most comprehensive drilling campaigns in recent times,” Executive Director Peretz Schapiro said.

“Our primary objectives for the coming campaign will be to further increase the size of our two mineral resource estimates on the Stirling Block and to follow up on some of the high grade rock chip and soil samples encountered on the Diorite Block,” he added.

Torian is up a healthy 23.5 per cent and shares are trading for 2.1 cents each at 1:50 pm AEST.
