Toro Energy (TOE) has completed the fourth diamond hole in the first phase of its 2020 drilling program at the Yandal Gold Project.

The Yandal Gold Project is located in the Yandal Greenstone Belt in Western Australia, and lies 15 kilometres northeast of the multi-million-ounce Bronzewing Gold Mine.

The fourth diamond hole, TED04, was drilled to a depth of 267.8 metres at the Dusty Nickel-Gold Prospect and aimed to test the continuation of massive nickel sulphide mineralisation along strike from the massive nickel sulphides confirmed in hole TED03.

Additionally, drilling has begun at hole TED05, the final hole of this diamond drilling program.

This hole is also being drilled at the Dusty Prospect and it lies 4.8 kilometres south-southwest of hole TED04.

This hole will test areas of unknown geology, after which Toro will construct a bore to test the groundwater chemistry, which will be used as a water supply for future drilling programs.

The area where hole TED05 is situated has never been drilled before and the geology is completed unknown.

However, data from a ground gravity survey undertaken in 2018 shows that there may be north-northeast and northwest-trending structures.

Meanwhile, the core from hole TED05 is currently being processed for geochemical sampling and analysis.

Toro has dropped 8.33 per cent and shares are trading for 1.1 cents each at 12:16 pm AEST.
