Trek Metals (TKM) has confirmed the potential for hard rock lithium mineralisation at its Tambourah tenement in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The company found multiple lithium-bearing pegmatite dykes from its recent field exploration, which was supported by historical assays.

Also underpinning its interpretation was an extensive stream sediment anomalism coincident with the mapped pegmatites.

Trek has collected samples of the area and is awaiting assays.

In the meantime, it will relocate its remote field camp to commence follow-up work and map out drill targets.

Chief Executive Officer Derek Marshall is confident in this discovery.

“Given that the lithium potential of the Tambourah Project fits squarely with our battery metals focus we decided to prioritise follow-up work as part of our ongoing 2022 field season,” he said.

Shares were trading 15.1 per cent higher today at 8.4 cents each at 12:18 pm AEST.
