With more than seven million users on the HotCopper forums, every discussion and speculation can move Australian markets, which is why getting out in front of those trends is so important for any trader worth their salt.

Listen to the HotCopper podcast for in-depth discussions and insights on all the biggest headlines from throughout the week. On Spotify, Apple, and more.

In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top three stocks talked about on any given trade day, and why they’ve drawn a daily focus.

Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) has been the top trending company on the HotCopper forums through Tuesday trading so far, with many users very excited by news out of the explorer’s Golden Gate North discovery.

While the stock is down – RML shares are -5.9% lower at time of writing – it’s generally interesting news; the explorer says the key assay hits have “materially advanced our understanding at Golden Gate.”

Not quite the jump to 10cps some investors had predicted on the forums earlier today, but there’s plenty of time for Resolution to recover in Week 49.

Elsewhere, Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) and Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) have captured headlines after teaming up for a joint venture that will see the pair mine Dreadnought’s Star of Mangaroon project.

Dreadnought and Black Cat have similarly seen little price action, though that’s more because the sector as a whole today has been struggling for jazz.

Right now, DRE shares are at 3.2cps; BC8 sells at $1.05.

Finally, Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) rounds out our podium of trenders. This explorer (a very Materials column today, hey) shared new updates on the downstream testing it’s been awaiting at Kangakunde.

“ANSTO’s work confirms that Kangakunde’s monazite is a premium feed that cracks cleanly under conventional proven industrial conditions,” Lindian director Zac Komur declared. “We have produced a high-grade, ultra-low-radiation MREC grading 54% TREO, 20% NdPr with 97% NdPr recovery from concentrate.”

To mid-arvo now, LIN has hovered mostly flat at 37.3cps.

Looking wider, the ASX is up a near-flat too; +0.25%.
