Tyranna Resources (TYX) has commenced a soil sampling campaign at two targets within the Dragon and Knight Project in Western Australia.

The company is investigating the nickel and copper potential at two targets; the Lightning Gossan prospect and the Bullseye Anomaly. Results from the survey are expected in December.

To recap, Lightning Grossan is a priority focus based on two key interpretations. The geology at the prospect is similar to St George’s Mining’s (SGQ) Fish Hook prospect.

Lightning is also interpreted to have similar mineralisation as Fish Hook based on the historical surface sampling, reporting assays up to 7600 parts per million (ppm) of nickel, 5700 ppm of copper and 1140 ppm of zinc.

Bullseye was found through a review of several historical reports by companies searching for gold. Results from a 2009 soil sampling campaign found anomalous nickel and copper grading up to 1330 parts per billion (ppb) nickel and 1440 ppb copper.

Director Joe Graziano is pleased to commence the survey at the project.

“The board is delighted that exploration has commenced at the Dragon and Knight Project investigating the nickel and copper potential at two priority targets; the Lightning Gossan prospect and the Bullseye anomaly,” he told the market on Tuesday.

On the market this afternoon, Tyranna is up 16.7 per cent and trading at 0.7 cents per share at 2:50 pm AEDT.
