Venture Minerals (VMS) has commenced its maiden drilling program at the Golden Grove North Project in Western Australia.

At least 13 reverse circulation (RC) holes will be drilled at the Vulcan North prospect to test four recently identified volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) targets.

Of the four targets, one already contains a drill intersection of 22 metres at 0.76g/t gold, 0.64 per cent copper and 1.3 per cent zinc from 38 metres including 10 metres at 1g/t gold, 0.74 per cent copper, and 2.1 per cent zinc from 50 metres.

The Vulcan Central target

The Vulcan Central electromagnetic (EM) target lies in a highly prospective VMS rock sequence, immediately below rock chips which returned up to 23.8 per cent copper.

The Vulcan West target

The Vulcan West EM target holds a strong conductive zone believed to represent a massive sulphide target which lies along strike from historic drill intersections of up to 0.5 per cent zinc.

The Vulcan North target

Vulcan North is also considered to be a strongly conductive zone.

This massive sulphide target sits in a highly prospective VMS rock sequence which lies below a highly anomalous zinc-in-soil area, returning up to 0.5 per cent zinc.

“The company is very much looking forward to testing multiple, high priority drill targets at Golden Grove North and providing Venture shareholders the opportunity for a new discovery,” Managing Director Andrew Radonjic said.

Venture is up 3.33 per cent on the market and shares are trading for 3.1 cents each at 12:50 pm AEDT.
