Venture Minerals (VMS) has begun its second phase of drilling at the Golden Grove North Project in Western Australia.

Golden Grove North lies roughly 370 kilometres north-northeast of Perth and consists of over 12 deposits spanning a strike length of over 13 kilometres.

Diamond core drilling will be testing priority zinc-copper-gold targets and follow-up on previous drilling completed at the Orcus Prospect.

Previous work at Orcus confirmed a volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) system with grades up to 7.6 per cent zinc, 1.3 per cent copper, 2.2g/t gold and 22g/t silver intersected.

Drilling will also test a number of newly identified electromagnetic conductors along the five-kilometre-long VMS target zone.

Additionally, Venture has completed its maiden drill program at the Kulin Project where it tested multiple gold targets beneath mineralised trenches.

The drill core is being processed and assay results are due in the near-term.

“The much anticipated second phase of drilling at the company’s flagship exploration asset Golden Grove North has begun,” Managing Director Andrew Radonjic said.

“With the maiden drill program at Kulin completed and now waiting for assays, Venture’s exploration team will switch focus to follow up some very exciting drill intersections at Orcus and several strong EM conductors within the Golden Grove North VMS target zone,” he added.

Venture has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 5.9 cents in a $71.25 million market cap.
