After experiencing some delays, Venturex Resources (VXR) will soon commence drilling at the Sulphur Springs Copper-Zinc Project.

Sulphur Springs is located southeast of Port Hedland, Western Australia, and hosts a total mineral resource of 17.4 million tonnes at 1.3 per cent copper, 4.2 per cent zinc and 17g/t silver.

The project includes the proposed Sulphur Springs and Kangaroo Caves mines along with tenements that cover 27 kilometres of the Panorama trend. This trend is known to host multiple advanced volcanogenic massive sulphide-style exploration targets.

Drilling has been designed to follow-up on exceptional results generated from drilling last year at the Breakers Prospect. Drilling will also test the heli-borne electromagnetic (HEM) target where previous drilling intersected anomalous nickel-chromium mineralisation.

The program will begin at the XA8 prospect with two holes planned to test the continuation of a downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) target and associated mineralisation.

After this, Venturex will move to the Breakers prospect where four holes will follow-up the along-strike and down-plunge continuation of massive sulphide mineralisation which returned a high-grade intersection of 18 metres at 7.75 per cent zinc.

Additionally, two further holes will be completed to follow up the mineralisation intersection in one hole at the Breakers North target last year which returned eight metres at 3.37 per cent zinc.

Venturex is trading 9.52 per cent higher at 11.5 cents just before market close on October 20.
