- Rox Resources and joint venture partner Venus Metals have reported high-grade gold intercepts at the Currans Find North Prospect
- Results from the stage two drill program at Currans include 3m at 25.00 g/t Au from 109m including 1m at 57.15 g/t Au from 110m
- Galena was found in the RC rock chips
Venus Metals and joint venture partner Rox Resources, have reported high-grade gold intercepts at the Currans Find North Prospect.
Results from the stage two drill program at Currans include 3m at 25 g/t Au from 109m including 1m at 57.15 g/t Au from 110m.
These results follow the stage one program which intersected up to 72 grams per tonne of gold.
Within the high-grade intersections, the drilling program found galena (a natural form of lead sulphide) with significant sulphide contents in the RC rock chips. This finding confirms a new gold-sulphide association at the prospect.
The Currans Find North Prospect is found at the Youanmi Gold Project which is located 460 kilometres north-east of Perth, Western Australia. The project is along the Youanmi Greenstone Belt.
The Youanmi Project is comprised of the Youangarra, Penny West, Columbia- Magenta and Currans prospects.
Cancelled GML records show that 6,874 tons were treated at the Red White and Blue battery on site for a recovered average grade of 13 g/t Au.
A follow up RC drilling is scheduled to commence next week and an induced polarisation survey will commence soon to identify further sulphide-rich gold lodges.
Rox Resources gained 9.09 per cent today and is selling shares at 2.4¢. Meanwhile Venus Metals dropped 9.80 per cent and is selling shares at 23¢ per share.
