Mining partners Venus Metals and Rox Resources have hit high-grade gold at the joint-venture Currans Find project in WA. Venus Metals, operating on site, have drilled to yield highs of 10.79 grams of gold per tonne and lows of 1.81 grams of gold per tonne.

As per the news to shareholders, Rox Resources have gained 15 per cent today and Venus Metals have gained 4.17 per cent in the share market.

Drilling was conducted through a reverse circulation method at the Currans Find North deposit and the Red and White Blue Working deposit for a total of 25 holes over 1,208 metres.

Other significant results on site include 9.82 grams, 5.72 grams and 5.25 grams of gold per tonne. These results are a massive increase from the most recent high grades being only 6.47 grams of gold per tonne, marking a 4.32 gram per tonne increase.

Overall, drilling conducted was shallow and a continuation of ongoing high-grade mineralisation.

The Currans Find project is situated within the highly successful Youanmi Greenstone Belt, roughly five kilometres north of the historic Penny West gold mine.

Venus management says today’s results are part of large clusters of high-grade mineralisation, comparatively similar to encouraging finds in the massive Penny West area.

Venus and Rox are planning to conduct near future follow-up drilling at deposits Currans Find North, Red White and Blue and Taylor’s Reef. These deposits are said to be alongside the ongoing successful gold strike.

Shares in ROX today are trading at 1.2 cents, compared to yesterday’s one cent pricing. VMC share prices are sitting at 12.5 cents this morning, from a 12 cent pricing at yesterday’s market close.
