Victory Goldfields (1VG) is set to begin a 9000-metre aircore drilling program at its North Stanmore rare earth element (REE) discovery in WA.

The drilling will follow from the recently confirmed widespread REE mineralisation with thick high-grade intersections encountered.

This work intersected up to 2414 parts per million total rare earth oxides, 1.7 grams per tonne gold and a high ratio of neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr) and dysprosium and terbium (DyTb).

This upcoming drilling will aim to extend Victory’s REE discovery and the continuity of the mineralisation which remains open in all directions.

“This next phase of drilling has been designed for the specific purpose of rare earth element exploration and will also be used to collect samples for metallurgical test works,” Executive Director Brendan Clark said.

“Victory’s technical team is currently also interpreting the aerial magnetic data from the low flying aerial magnetic survey completed in August, with the information to be used to assist with the next phase of drilling at the alkaline intrusion and identify further drilling targets.”

Shares in Victory were down 2.27 per cent and were trading at 21.5 cents at 2:48 pm AEST.
